You will see this the minute that you arrive to this tranquil Mayan fishing village just 16 minutes from the Cancun airport and 23 minutes further south to Playa del Carmen and the ferryboats to the island of Cozumel.

Puerto Morelos has been joyfully missed by the developers, so our town has stayed a delightful mix of Mexican & Mayan families, as well as a nice blend of different nationalities that all want to experience the special life and energy that this spiritual vortex of the world offers.

Because Puerto Morelos is a totally operating pueblo, different than other areas in the Yucatan that have been developed around homes & resorts, everything you could possible need is here! There is a market with daily fresh veggies, breads & meats, plus normal household needs.

We have a fax/phone office, a Internet and computer shop, gift shops, money exchanges, a travel agent, liquor store, water sport equipment rentals and boats for snorkeling or diving…all around the center square!

The best part is that if you run out of eggs, Eduardo ( the houseman) can bicycle to town and bring them back in just minutes!!

We also have a great assortment of really good restaurants!
We have Coyote- Italian with a great Tiramisu, Don Pepe- Spanish really good Paella, Johnny Cairo-Continental, whose owner & chef is from the Ritz Carlton, Pizza Palapa with good salads, calzones etc…La Café has vegetarian & health foods, Pelicanos for Fresh Seafood on the Sea, Big John’s for an Austrian fare, Pasada Amor for fabulous Breakfast brunches & traditional Mexican, etc., etc..

This is a town where simple and luxury live side by side in delicious harmony. Say "hola" (hello) to anyone, and you will get a warm "hola" in return! The beaches feel like they almost secluded, since you rarely see more than 5 or 6 people in an hour walk.
Puerto Morelos Mexico has absolutely No Crime! So whether you are a woman alone or with children, or someone a bit older, you can feel totally safe in taking the short walk from our villa to town, day or night, and not need to use a car for every need!

Have the time and want to see more? You can have a great day trips to either Isla Mujeres or Isla Cozumel and lets us not forget Cancun and Playa del Carmen!!
